BYOkids Travel Guru Georgie recently visited Club Med Bintan Island, here is what she thought!  I didnt know anything about Bintan before I left except its location, its actually part of Indonesia, an island off Singapore, so I had no expectations and I had not been to a Club Med resort before, so it was a new experience all around for me. I must say I am really impressed with the Resort and the whole Club Med package & its definately a place I will take my family back too. After arriving into Singapore Airport, it is a 10 minute drive from the Airport to the Wharf.  As you have to pass from Singapore to Indonesia it does mean that you have to clear immigration again and get more stamps in your Passport, and sercurity is the same as an airport. You need to check in 1 hour prior to your ferry departure. The ferry takes 1 hour to get from Singapore to Bintan Island, but the boys will love it as there are so many ships in the Harbour and in the waters, it was a great source of ammusment for the kids & dads on board. The ferry is Air Conditioned with no outdoor areas, but they do have a kiosk for food onboard if you need. All prices are in Indonesian Rupee.
